In our office, we utilize three types of state-of-the-art dental technology. The first is intra-oral scanning. And intra-oral scanning replaces physical impression material. It's used to generate digital models of your teeth, which can be used for diagnosis, can be used to create definitive or temporary dental restorations. Digital scanning is also incorporated with 3D imaging. 3D imaging is used for diagnosis, planning, and placement of dental implants, diagnosis of obstructive airway disorders, or obstructive breathing disorders like sleep apnea. And the third most common technology that we use is digital imaging. So the digital imaging replaces traditional x-rays. The benefit of that is it reduces the amount of radiation that's needed to capture diagnostic images. I feel it's important to stay current with technology so that you can provide your patient's up-to-date care that's accurate, efficient, comfortable. One of the main benefits of our in-house technology is that I have personally have control over fabricating dental restorations, such as crowns, partial crowns, and bridges, dental restorations. I can design the restoration to fit the patient's mouth. I can customize it to my own artistic desire. I feel the benefit is a better quality restoration and a restoration that's made more efficiently. In some cases, we're able to manufacture a crown and deliver it the same day.
